Andrew King receives the Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society award

2013 Jun 11

Andrew King of Colorado Springs, CO, graduated from the New England School of Communications (NESCom) with a Bachelor of Science in Communications on May 11 at the Newman Gymnasium on the campus of Husson University. At commencement, King was awarded the Alpha Beta Kappa (ABK) National Honor Society award.

ABK recipients are nominated by their department directors and then reviewed by an ABK committee. Qualifications for membership include excellence in classroom, studio, and lab and a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5. The student must demonstrate leadership, service in class and school activities, and display personal integrity and good moral character.

Alpha Beta Kappa is a National Honor Society established in September of 1977 to recognize graduates of trade, business, career colleges, technical schools, and institutes. Today, hundreds of institutions from Maine to California honor their best students, alumni, faculty, and staff through their individual chapters. Our chapter, "Alpha of Maine", was established in 1995.
